A&M Ministry

The Rock

Beautiful Savior is the "church away from home" for many students at Texas A&M University in College Station and Blinn College in Bryan.  Our congregation, as a sponsor of WELS Campus Ministry, is the host church for "The Rock: The WELS Campus Ministry at Texas A&M", an officially recognized student organization at Texas A&M University. The Rock works with Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, giving Aggies an opportunity to find a church home away from home. The Rock was renamed in Dec. 2011. It previously opperated under the name Lutheran Collegians of Texas A&M.

The heart and core of the college student ministry is the weekly Bible study on Tuesday evening.  We typically meet on campus in the Memorial Student Center (MSC) at 8:30 PM.  For the exact location, check us out on facebook at facebook.com/TheRockTAMU. Our Bible studies cover diverse topics, from books of the Bible (Hebrews, Exodus, and Ecclesiastes recently) to topics important to college students (prayer, answers to life's big questions, other religions, and apologetic topics).  We're always interested in hearing from you what you'd like to study, but we're always going to get back to forgiveness.

Additional activities include monthly student dinners at Pastor & Mary's house (located next to the church) and joint retreats in the fall and spring with other college students.  To get plugged in, check out what we're doing at our facebook page: facebook.com/TheRockTAMU.

International Students

For the past 20 years, Beautiful Savior has served the international student community with the gospel in many ways. Our signature event is the annual International Student Christmas Eve Dinner.  Students are invited to come with friends and family to the church for a traditional Christmas dinner.  The evening includes English conversation, curtural exchange, children's activities and the opportunity to attend a special Christmas Eve presentation about the birth of Jesus at the first Christmas.  The most recent addition to the international student ministry is the Chinese New Year Eve celebration.
